Why Green Bush?

The Significance

The name “The Green Bush is significant for two main reasons:-

  1. A bush is green (duh! well most of them), and its important that we keep it that way. Not turning yellow, dry and wilted as a result of a drought; nor bulldozed over or chopped down for the sake of “development”.
  2. It symbolizes me. Friends from my teenage years has often termed my curly/frizzy locks as “the Bush” – alive and untamed, and in need of trimming every few months. Green, because its a way of life – for Islam and the Environment.
